We had a great time teaching the Girl Scouts how to code designs for laser-cut bracelets! We used Processing to learn the basics and learned how to comment blocks of code in and out to activate them. Keep an eye out for a public workshop!

Fab 10 Barcelona- "From Fab Labs to Fab Cities"

FAB10Barcelona is the tenth international conference and annual meeting of the Fab Lab network. FAB10Barcelona will gather the international Fab Lab community from more than 250 laboratories based in more than 40 countries, who share tools, projects, programs and processes in an open and collaborative philosophy.

Fab Lab Baltimore-Turkey Exchange
Fab Lab Baltimore is excited to announce that our lab manager, Mollye, has been selected for the Young Turkey Young America exchange program! Coordinated by World Learning on behalf of the US Department of State, YTYA is an exchange program where twenty Turks, specializing in various fields of work, will be paired with twenty Americans for a few weeks. The overall objective is to encourage young professionals to engage in trans-Atlantic dialogue and to develop innovative joint projects that could generate a multiplying effect. Read more...

Be sure to visit our booth at this year's USA Science and Engineering Festival! We are partnering with TIES and MC2 STEM students, and we will have a MOBILE FAB LAB parked right in the middle of the convention center. Should be pretty easy to spot!
